Manager: Barry Lueders saw his role not only as manager, but as father-figure, promotions expert, finance handler and booking agent. After twenty years in the navy he made the band his career and had overseen the band virtually since its creation. Barry was largely responsible for taking the band from its humble beginnings to the band that headlined at Tamworth and many other venues.

Road Manager: Michael Dirkx the elder of the Dirkx brothers was the band's first roadie exceeding all that a roadie was supposed to be. He was manager of a small and dedicated team and was considered an integral part of the band until 1984. He was also very handy as our official photographer.

Roadies: Peter Dirkx was not only a brilliant roadie along side his brother, but also a very talented drummer. He would take a break from being roadie during one set per night which allowed Wayne to play bass and Brian to play keyboards or pedal steel guitar. He had an uncanny ability to be able to do a task before it was asked of him.

Other roadies included Pat Kriss, Mark Blackman, Mark Withers, Mick D'Amour, Les McInnes and Gordon 'Animal' Rae. And they're the ones that we know of.

Merchandising & Fan Club: Margaret Clarke first took the reins looking after the growing fan club base before handing the task over to Anne Schneider. Many venues saw the stall which provided the sales of the band's wide range of merchandise. Anne will always be remembered for being at a major show at the Caulfield Club Hotel the night of the Ash Wednesday bush fires of 1983. When she returned home she found her house had been gutted.

The band played so many shows with Jimmy Little that sometimes it seemed that he was part of the band. Most of the shows we did with him were country music festivals throughout Victoria and New South Wales. Although each show had its own rehearsal, we never knew what he was going to sing until the song had started. This made each show a lot of fun and certainly kept us on our toes. These moments will always be remembered. A top bloke and a good friend.

FRIENDS & COLLEAGUES

There have been many people within the industry and outside the industry that take that extra step within their jobs assisting those that are often in need of extra help. The assistance and kindness shown by people from promoters, hotel managers, the press, DJs, fellow artists and of course the fans, have all gone to making our musical trip a most memorable one.
